Why This Role Exists

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong full-stack capabilities to join our engineering team. This role is primarily focused on backend architecture, APIs, databases, scalability, and system reliability, while also contributing to frontend development when needed. You will work closely with the product, design and engineering teams to build scalable and high-performance applications used by real customers.

Note: This is not a DevOps or infrastructure role. We’re looking for a product-focused backend/fullstack engineer.

What you will do

Backend Engineering

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs

Build secure, reliable and high-performance systems

Architect database structures and optimize queries for performance

Improve application scalability, security, and reliability.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production code
Collaboration and Product Delivery

Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end features

Contribute to frontend features and integrations when necessary

Work closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and feature delivery
System Reliability & Operations

Troubleshoot production issues, logs, and implement long-term solutions

Monitor application performance and system health

Improve deployment workflows and engineering efficiency

Ensure system stability, uptime, and operational excellence
Engineering Excellence

Participate in code reviews and technical decision-making

Promote engineering best practices and coding standards

Support knowledge sharing across the team

Continuously improve development processes and system architecture

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

Successfully onboard into the engineering team and contribute production-ready code within the first 2–3 weeks

Take ownership of at least one backend service or core feature from development through deployment

Improve the performance, scalability, or reliability of an existing system with measurable impact.

Identify and resolve critical bugs, production issues, or technical bottlenecks.

Contribute to engineering processes through code reviews, architecture discussions and best practices.

Collaborate effectively across frontend, product and design teams to deliver features on

schedule.

What we are looking for

Core Requirements

6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus
Strong experience building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs
Proficiency in php, laravel, Node.js and TypeScript
Deep expertise in database design and management (MYSQL or other relational databases).
Experience working with cloud-based production environments.
Solid understanding of frontend development using Flutter React or similar frameworks.
Strong knowledge of system design, performance optimization and application security.
Experience building and maintaining production-grade applications at scale.
Proficient in working with WebSockets for real-time communication and event handling.
Familiarity with VOIP technologies like Asterisk and A2Billing is a significant plus.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Technical & Domain Skills

PHP laravel, Node.js (NestJS), TypeScript, and modern backend frameworks
Mysql, Redis, and database performance optimization
Flutter, React / Next.js and frontend integration workflows
REST APIs, authentication systems, and third-party integrations
Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment workflows
Monitoring, logging, and debugging production systems
